"You sang beautifully & are a natural performer! Many years ago I went to a similar evening in the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea and the singer that evening was about 20 years old. Several people there said he had good potential ... his name was Bryn Terfel!"
Andrew Miles, December 2019 at Leigh Alexandra's debut album launch.
"You are an angel in disguise, I have always known that. Congratulations for doing what you have been put on this earth to do."
- April, America
"You sang with such passion and with the voice of an angel."
"Well done Leigh what a fabulous time spent listening to your stories and more importantly your amazing voice. Wishing you all the very best wishes for the years ahead. I'm sure you will aspire to all you wish for."

Hi and welcome to my webpage!
I am a Welsh Soprano, from Pontardulais, Swansea and I am now on my second and final year of studies for my BA (Hons) Degree in Advanced Vocal Studies & Opera at the Wales International Academy of Voice (WIAV), UWTSD, Cardiff. 2020 has presented many challenges, to many of us and my first year exams and assessments were completed despite the challenges the year brought. I was very happy to progress to my final year and have already had final exams this term. The Autumn term leaves no room for a break and our schedule started in the first week of September and will continue until the second week of December... I am counting down the weeks until a break over the festive period.
Several years ago, I wrote a blog as 'The Welsh Nanny' whilst living and working overseas; so it seems fitting that at the start of my journey towards fulfilling my lifelong dream and ambition of gaining a professional career in singing, to reinvent my previous name and become
'The Welsh Soprano'.
Fe fyddai'n ceisio sicrhau bod 'na Cymraeg a Saesneg ar bob tudalen... ond eto, byddwch yn amyneddgar gyda fi, diolch.
2019 was an interesting year, full of important lessons, opportunities and a 365 page chapter and recap of the book of my life to date, which has given me the opportunity to reflect on my journey until now and to let go of many old habits.
2020 is the first page of the second chapter of my new book; the second term at university and hopefully another step closer to reaching my goal.
2021 is almost upon us and I can't wait to share the developments in my voice with you very soon.
I will look forward to sharing music, stories, my blog, photos, videos and other news with you as often as possible. If you look at the 'Music' page... you can purchase & download the CD I recently made and released. If you would like a CD to be sent in the post, please get in contact.
I hope you enjoy it.
With love & light... Leigh Alexandra xx
